Founded in 1998, The Cherrywood Clinic (formerly Broxbourne Laser Clinic), is the UK’s longest running laser aesthetics clinic. Our owners, Rachel and Tim, took over in 2016, and have continued our history of providing expert, specialist laser aesthetic treatment to our clients. Originally offering laser hair removal only, they have introduced further laser-based treatments including thread vein removal, rosacea treatment, pigmented lesion removal and fungal nail treatment.
We are proud to offer our services in two bespoke clinics: our Hertford clinic serves Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Harlow, Hartford and Hertfordshire, our Amersham clinic serves Chesham, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, and Buckinghamshire. Our clients travel from as far as London, Birmingham, Southampton and even Norway to see us!

We pride ourselves on being laser aesthetics professionals. We use medical grade lasers and everything we do is proven and backed by science. Our staff are laser specialists. The education underpinning our knowledge base is in specific Laser and Light Technologies qualifications, and we do not dilute this with other treatments. We always keep track of the latest innovations in laser treatment, and expand our knowledge base regularly in order to be able to provide the best treatment advice at all times.
At The Cherrywood Clinic, we exclusively use Candela lasers. Candela manufacture the gold standard in medical grade lasers, backed by more than 20 years of innovation, and our lasers – the GentleMax Pro - are the very best in laser aesthetics devices.
The GentleMax Pro is a dual-wavelength platform that incorporates two separate lasers – a 755nm Alexandrite and a 1064nm Nd:YAG – to offer the highest performance treatment for all skin types. In the hands of our experienced, specialist practitioners, these lasers safely deliver the very best treatment outcomes.
Rachel is our Clinical Director, overseeing both of our clinics and ensuring the highest standards in all aspects of our clinical operations. With almost 10 years of experience as a leading laser aesthetics specialist, Rachel has built a reputation as the face of our clinic and a true expert in the field. Her passion for laser treatments is matched only by her dedication to client care.
Recognised as an industry leader, Rachel has been named SOS Beauty Laser Technician of the Year for two years in a row - 2024 and 2025. Her expertise and dedication have also earned the prestigious title of Highly Commended Runner-Up at the 2024 International Aesthetics Awards for Hair Rem oval Specialist of the Year.
Rachel holds overall responsibility for all treatments, staff training, and the clinical direction of the business. She is a firm believer in the practical application of education, both for staff and clients, ensuring that all are equipped with the best knowledge to deliver exceptional outcomes. Rachel’s qualifications include a BTEC Level 4 in Laser and Light Technologies, as well as Masters and Bachelors of Science degrees, solidifying her position as a true authority in the industry.
Tim is our Managing Director, bringing a wealth of experience from his background in central government and business. With over 20 years of involvement in the laser aesthetics industry in behind-the-scenes roles, Tim plays a key role in the administration and operational management of the clinic.
Focused on ensuring smooth and efficient clinic operations, Tim is responsible for overseeing the administrative side of the business, ensuring everything runs seamlessly and clients receive the highest level of service. His expertise and leadership keep the clinic running smoothly, allowing the clinical team to focus on delivering exceptional results for our clients.
A firm believer in the transformative power of laser treatments, Tim is passionate about how these results can truly change lives.
Nadine is based at our Amersham clinic and holds VTCT Level 2 Facial & Skincare and VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology qualifications. She is currently completing her VTCT Level 4 Laser and Light Technologies certification. Nadine has completed our in-house training to an exceptionally high standard, ensuring she delivers the best possible results for every client.
Her journey into the world of laser treatments began after experiencing the transformative benefits herself. Inspired by her own results, she retrained to become a Laser Technician, driven by her passion to help others achieve their laser goals. She is a true perfectionist, with an exceptional eye for detail, delivering outstanding results with every treatment.
In addition to her technical expertise, Nadine also brings her skills in marketing and social media to the team, contributing to our clinic’s growth and client engagement.
She’s a purveyor of fun facts and loves sharing these tidbits with clients, ensuring every visit is not only effective but also enjoyable!
Farrah-May is a dedicated Laser Technician based at our Hertford clinic, known for her passion for skin health and laser treatments. With a commitment to helping clients achieve life-changing results, she brings both expertise and genuine care to every client interaction.
Having completed our extensive in-house training, Farrah-May is also currently undertaking her VTCT Level 4 Laser and Light Technologies qualification to further expand her knowledge and skill set.
Her enthusiasm, attention to detail, and perfectionist nature have quickly made her a favourite among our clients. Farrah-May is also our in-house DermaLux specialist, delivering expert LED skin treatments and personalised skincare advice tailored to each client’s needs.
Committed to helping clients feel confident in their skin, Farrah-May combines technical skill with a warm, supportive approach—ensuring every treatment is both effective and empowering.
